Expedition Steppes
Eagle -

This expedition was run by the Middlesex Wing Air Training Corps during
August/September 2005. Over forty cadets and staff came to Mongolia for a 19-day
expedition which included horse trekking in the Darhad Valley, hiking through
the Khoridol Saridag mountain range, and work on the renovation of the Renchinlum
Kindergarten. Check out the web site for a record of their daily adventures in the

Fulcrum Challenge –

Fulcrum Challenge is a UK-based charity organisation that runs development
programmes for students studying 'A' Levels, Scottish Highers and GNVQs. Their
programmes are designed to prepare outstanding and talented students for the
transition to the world of business and social commitment over a 9-month period.
Fulcrum has sent students from the Newcastle and Manchester areas in England.
Hadlev Udvidede
Hojskole –

Hojskole started coming to Mongolia in the summer of 2003. Based in Copenhagen
it is an institute for secondary school graduates who wish to spend a year out
before university or work, but continue with some non certified studies. They
spend 5 weeks in Mongolia: 3 weeks doing community work and 2 weeks on
expedition.
Overseas Family School
Singapore (OFS) -

Students and teachers from OFS came to Mongolia for the first time in Spring
2004. The school has been building up relations with the Lotus Children's Centre
since 2003 and has been doing some excellent work in raising awareness of the
plight of homeless children in Mongolia, back in Singapore.
World Challenge

World Challenge is a UK-based company that specialises in the provision of
leadership, teamwork and personal development training for young people. World
Challenge has sent over 50 UK schools each for a 1 month expedition to Mongolia
and China: some examples are Kesteven and Grantham Girls School, Royal Grammar
School, St Conleth's College and Bearsden Academy.
